Jennifer is an accomplished bead maker, however, she is also known for her basketry and gourd art. She wove her first basket in 1991. Over the years she has taken numerous courses at Fleming College Haliburton School of Fine Arts and has studied with both Canadian and American basket makers, Canadian Gourd Artists, and Canadian Bead Artists.
As a basket maker, the next stage of her development was discovering hard shell gourds as an art form. Along with other members of the Basketry Network, Jennifer has shown her art in various locations, including Peterborough and Toronto.
She was a guest demonstration artist in Toronto at the One of a Kind Craft Show and Sale in December 2002 along with other Basketry Network members. She is a member of the Basketry Network, the Canadian Gourd Society, the South Western Ontario Basketry Guild, and the American Gourd Society.
Jennifer believes that basketry, beading and gourd art all go hand in hand.
